In the city, buildings with Sino-Portuguese historical architecture and cultural characteristics can be seen everywhere, attracting a large number of tourists every year. In 2005, 22 buildings and 8 squares in Macao were inscribed in the World Cultural Heritage List and they have become popular attractions for tourists. In this stamp issue, Dino, an IP (intellectual property) character created by a local artist, is exploring Macao sceneries as a tourist. Senado Square has been Macao’s urban centre for centuries, and is still the most popular venue for public events and celebrations today. Located close to the former Senate building, Sam Kai Vui Kun is also a reminder of the active participation of the local Chinese community in general civic affairs, providing a clear example of the multicultural dimension of the Macao community. Illustration: Kay TungCreated in 2021 It is a great honor for me to cooperate with five local Artists in Macao and Swiss watch brand Swatch to launch "Swatch X You" personalized watch unique to Macao for the first time. It only takes 15 minutes to get a Swatch jointly designed by us and You. Swatch represents our youth. It was once a watch THAT I desperat ely wanted to own when I was in school. As we grow up, times change and trends change with us. But Swatch continues to experiment and innovate. Until now, I was lucky enough to participate in the cooperative project, which makes me feel like I have recovered my original intention of that time, and I will not forget my original intention to create. This time, I will create a watch that can represent myself and put it on my hand, just like my dream in those days, I will have a real swatch of my own. Theme: Dream "Dreams Come True" Although there are many difficulties on the road to pursue dreams, the results are always good and happy. Illustration: Kay Tung Created in 2019 To celebrate 15 years of applying for the World Heritage in “Historic Center of Macao” in 2020, Cultural Affairs Bureau Macao published the calendar of 2020 with the theme of “cultural inheritance as daily life”, which was created by the local illustrator KayTung and five literature workers. By focusing on “Historic Center of Macao” and intangible cultural heritage projects in Macao, it shows the refined and abundant illustration and tells a life story with profound meaning. From Chinese-style temples to western-style churches and from traditional skills to folk customs, it reveals the cultural deposits in Macao, so that citizens will feel the profound daily cultural connotation in Macao.
